Under the German G7 Presidency, the health ministers will meet in Berlin on 19/20 May 2022.
The Federal Minister of Health, Karl Lauterbach, will host and lead the work process of the G7 health ministers until 31 December 2022.
Here, G7 health ministers will discuss current issues and challenges in the area of health policy.
Germany is pursuing the following work priorities under the so-called “G7 Health Track”:
- Working together to overcome the coronavirus pandemic
- Strengthening capacities to respond to new pandemics
- Combating antibiotic resistance
- Health risks due to climate change
In addition to these priorities, the development ministers will also continue to pursue items from the previous G7 agenda. These include improving international crisis management and the coordinating role of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
