Microbiology and multi-omics data platform

The integrated microbiological and multi-omics data platform will be dedicated to antibiotic resistance, taking into account the interoperability of these banks and databases, and developing mathematical and (bio)computational tools to model the evolution and spread of resistance, as well as the impact of interventions.

A structuring and cross-cutting operation (between axes 1, 2 and 3) is to support, as a priority, the development of a platform of integrated and interoperable multi-omics microbiological databases, as well as the development of digital tools. There is an urgent need to 1) develop and implement integrated multi-omics microbiological databases, specific to antibiotic resistance for the three ecosystems of Man-Animal-Environment, while ensuring the interoperability of these databases with each other and with epidemiological databases, and 2) to develop, in parallel, mathematical and (bio)computational tools to model the evolution of antibiotic resistance, the transmission and dissemination of clones and genes within and between sectors, and the impact of interventions.

The first step is to :

  1. draw up an inventory of existing resources, in particular teams and expertise, but also databases and tools;
  2. ensure that the various communities have access to databases and tools (via a single portal, for example).
