With the growing frequency and complexity of both human and veterinary public health emergencies, it is increasingly urgent to design and implement holistic policies beyond sectorial barriers and better integrate the needs and approaches of all stakeholders. Integrating a One Health approach in the decision-making process is key for anticipating and tackling crises linked to emerging and reemerging pathogens that affect humans, animals or both.
To this end, we need a better understanding of the various gaps in knowledge, technologies and regulations that can affect the design of game-changing solutions, and their translation into concrete actions with a beneficial impact on both human and animal health.
This first international conference “The One Health concept at the Confluence of human & veterinary public health” aims to bring together researchers, industrial stakeholders and policy-makers to provide updates in research and innovation, discussing current unmet needs, proposing concrete ways to harness this knowledge and utilizing new tools to address these challenges.
The conference will be held in English and with simultaneous translation into French.
Location: Musée des Confluences, 86 Quai Perrache, 69002 LYON, France.
