Description: |
Our projects developed within the framework of the "one health" approach and the study of host / pathogen / environment interactions aim (i) to assess the impact of anthropogenic pressures on the selection and exchange of antibiotic resistant genes & bacteria in environments exploited for oyster farming in Europe, and the risks posed to animal, human and ecosystem health, using natural environment sampling approaches, establishment of collections of bacteria and genes for antibiotic resistance, microbiology, metagenomics and metatransciptomic ; (ii) to find alternatives to antibiotics through the use of marine bivalve antimicrobial peptides. |
