Les bact\u00e9ries ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des m\u00e9canismes de d\u00e9fense contre un exc\u00e8s de ce m\u00e9tal. Le groupe de recherche du&nbsp;<strong>Dr Fran\u00e7oise Jacob- Dubuisson<\/strong>&nbsp;du&nbsp;<strong>Centre d\u2019Infection et d\u2019Immunit\u00e9 de Lille<\/strong>&nbsp;(Inserm U1019-CNRS UMR9017-Univ Lille) a d\u00e9couvert chez&nbsp;<em>Bordetella pertussis<\/em>, l\u2019agent de la coqueluche, un syst\u00e8me original qui contr\u00f4le n\u00e9gativement l\u2019expression d\u2019un importateur de cuivre. Cette r\u00e9gulation par \u201c<strong>att\u00e9nuation transcriptionnelle<\/strong>\u201d fait intervenir une petite prot\u00e9ine senseur de cuivre qui fait partie d\u2019une famille non encore caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e. Il s\u2019agirait d\u2019un m\u00e9canisme assez r\u00e9pandu chez les bact\u00e9ries pour contr\u00f4ler divers syst\u00e8mes impliqu\u00e9s dans l\u2019hom\u00e9ostasie ou l\u2019utilisation du cuivre.
