Actions are needed to reverse the curve of antimicrobial resistance dissemination and to develop innovative drugs and therapeutic strategies (antibiotics, antiparasitic, antifungals, antivirals, antivectors) &nbsp;for safer and sustainable treatments of infectious diseases. To take-up this challenge, the Institut Pasteur (IP) strategic plan fosters cutting edge projects to tackle AMR by incorporating clinical and field data within molecular, chemical, genetic, structural and physiological approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>AIM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the Master 1 and 2 Students Call 2023, AMR axis \u2013 supported by the Executive Scientific Division\/SPAIS*- aims<strong> to foster research projects related to the AMR on Institut Pasteur (IP) campus in Paris. <\/strong>The call proposes<strong> funding in the form of scholarships and running costs for IP research teams wishing to host a Master 1\/2 Student or equivalent for an AMR-related project.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>* SPAIS: means Department for Scientific Programming and Incentive Actions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>WHO CAN APPLY ?<br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applications are open to research entities based on the campus of IP Paris and planning to host a Master student to carry out research projects to fight AMR.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The host research entity must be on the campus and involved or willing to develop research projects related to AMR.<\/li><li>The host research entity can only present one application.<\/li><li>The scientific proposal must be related to AMR<\/li><li>The student must be enrolled in a Master (1 or 2) program or equivalent (University, Engineer school, Medical school, Chemistry school, Faculty of Pharmaceutical sciences..).<\/li><li>Candidates of any nationality are eligible to apply.<\/li><li>The research proposal must be achievable within 4 to 6 months.<\/li><li>Successful fellows should start their work in the host IP entity between December 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2022 and January 31<sup>st<\/sup> , 2023.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>No unsollicited applications will be processed outside of the call<\/strong>. Before applying, the candidate must ensure she\/he is accepted by a host research entity of IP Paris. A list of the IP Paris AMR-related teams is available on the AMR axis webpage :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/research.pasteur.fr\/en\/program_project\/antimicrobial-resistance\/\">https:\/\/research.pasteur.fr\/en\/program_project\/antimicrobial-resistance\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:53px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EVALUATION CRITERIA<br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Master Students call 2023 will be evaluated by an IP Paris internal scientific committee, which will review proposals based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Scientific quality of the proposal and its relevance to the AMR field<\/li><li>Quality of the candidate\u2019s CV and its match with the scientific proposal<\/li><li>Feasibility \/ risk balance<\/li><li>Originality and creativity<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><br>FUNDING AND DURATION<br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of the grant is up to \u20ac6000 per candidate for a maximum 6-months stay, covering the student\u2019s stipend and some expenses inherent to the student\u2019s work. Only small equipment (&lt; 1.5 K\u20ac HT total) and consumables are allowed.
