Description

Institut Cochin is opening a position for a scientist wishing to establish his/her independent
team.
Institut Cochin is a leading French Biological Research Center, affiliated with Inserm, CNRS and
Université Paris Cité, and located on the campus of Cochin Hospital. Its 41 independent research
groups focus on basic as well as translational research domains, corresponding to the following
scientific axes: Cancer, Immunology, MetabolismEndocrinology, Microbiology, and Genetic and
Cellular Plasticity.
The selection of candidates will be based on the outstanding quality of their scientific record and
project, as well as their ability to interface with biologists and physicians of Institut Cochin and
medical teams of Cochin Hospital.


The newly recruited group will benefit from extensive support by, and strong interactions with, the
stateoftheart core facilities of Institut Cochin. These facilities provide all the necessary skills and
highly specialized equipment for cuttingedge research.
Appropriate laboratory space will be available to the selected group leader and an initial support
package will be provided. The candidates must meet criteria to compete for national and international
research funding. Those who do not have a permanent position in France will have to apply to the
ERC and/or ATIP/Avenir programs and/or to French institutional research/teaching positions (CNRS,
Inserm, Université Paris Cité).
