A postdoc position is available at the University of Lyon, France, for joining the PHAG-ONE project.
The objectives of the PHAG-ONE project are to develop, produce, and clinically evaluate therapeutic phages to treat infections due to antibiotic resistant bacteria. The project is supported a large grant funded by the French Research Agency (ANR).

The postdoc will be involved in a work package dedicated to in vitro (planktonic/biofilm cultures) and in vivo-ex vivo experiments (tissue cage-adapted model) for investigating bacteria and phage dynamics as well as pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modelling of results. The position is supported by the Laboratory of Biometrics and Evolutionary Biology (CNRS and University of Lyon) https://lbbe-web.univ-lyon1.fr/fr in collaboration with the University Hospitals of Lyon (Hospices Civils de Lyon). The job location is at the Institute of Infectious Agents, Croix-Rousse Hospital, Hospices Civils de Lyon, Lyon, France. The position is at the interface between microbiology and PK/PD modeling.

Candidates should have a keen interest in medical microbiology and data sciences. They should have a PhD in biological sciences and skills in microbiology. Communication skills evidenced by peer-review publications are required. Skills in computational sciences and modelling would be helpful but not mandatory.

The position will be available in February 2023, for two years. The starting date is flexible.
